With clear benchmarks and rigorous criteria, EcoVadi highlights leaders in sustainability while encouraging continuous improvement through both Medals and Badges. Whether a company is achieving top-tier results or making rapid progress, EcoVadis provides valuable recognition to inspire further advancements.

In this blog, we break down the medal levels, key updates for 2024, and how companies at various stages of their sustainability journey can gain recognition.

The EcoVadis Medals program celebrates companies demonstrating strong sustainability performance across four key themes:

• Environment
• Labor & Human Rights
• Ethics
• Sustainable Procurement

Medal Levels:

• Platinum: Top 1% of companies with scores 81 and above.
• Gold: Top 5% with scores 73 to 80.
• Silver: Top 15% with scores 66 to 72.
• Bronze: Top 35% with scores 58 to 65.
• Eligibility requires: A minimum theme score of 30 in all categories.

Compliance with the 360° Watch findings, ensuring no severe or multiple major findings in key sustainability themes.

Key Updates for 2024:

• Medal eligibility is based on the scorecard's publication date, not submission date.
• Scoring evolves yearly, reflecting improvements across EcoVadis’ global network.

For companies not qualifying for medals, EcoVadis Badges offer recognition for progress:

• Committed Badge: Awarded to companies scoring 45 or higher, highlighting a foundational commitment to sustainability.
• Fast Mover Badge: Recognises companies scoring 34–44 that achieve a 6-point improvement within 18 months, showcasing rapid progress in their sustainability efforts.
